The dining room designed by Snøhetta started working recently, but people are already adding it to their list of destinations in Norway.

In Norwegian, “under” means both “below” and “wonder”. Half-sunken in the sea, the building’s 111-foot long monolithic form breaks the surface of the water to rest on the seabed below. Going a step further, the structure is built to integrate eventually into its marine environment, because the roughness of the concrete shell will work as an artificial reef, hosting the limpets and kelp that inhabit it.
