Bear Caught Relaxing ‘Just Like A Human’ On A Couch Someone Threw Away

We all need to relax and snooze a bit in the afternoon! Just because they are animals, that doesn’t mean they don’t need it too! Well, a black bear enjoying his time in Canada, looking like he’s waiting for someone to get soda and popcorn, can brighten up your day!

Back in 2017, the photo of the bear sitting on a discarded couch at a dump, with his hips curved up in the most human-like position, went viral.

Black breaks, grizzly bears, and polar bears live together in the Northern Region of Manitoba in Canada.

Mandy Stantic and her family were driving around a popular dump in Lac Rochet, which is often visited by bears that forage for food. It is located about 1,000 kilometers northwest of Winnipeg, and it is accessible only by winter roads or air.

They wanted their daughter to see the bears, but they surely didn’t expect this sight!

The two-year-old girl poked her head out of the window to enjoy the scene!

Stantic said:

“You don’t see that very often. He’s just posing, just like a person.

You don’t see animals kind of imitating [humans] — sitting with their legs crossed, arms over the chair there. You don’t see that very often. He’s just posing, just like a person. [it] was pretty unusual and unique.”

She believes that the animal “must have been in the mood to relax after eating his full and climbed up on the couch to get comfortable.”

Stantic works as a nurse in South Indian Lake, but they often drive through Lac Rochet to observe the wild animals. She added that there are “lots of lakes, and roads that you could drive on for a good couple miles, despite it being pretty isolated up there.”

Stantic went on to explain that “it’s all forest surrounding the dump for hundreds of miles” and there is” more than enough to eat for them, but the berries aren’t out yet in the spring and garbage is easy pickings so that’s why they all congregate there.”

Therefore, when a vehicle pulls up, they try to outrun each other to find the hidden treasure in the trash!

Hilarious!
