1500 Year Old Bible Claims Jesus Christ Was Not Crucified – Vatican In Awe

By on May 4, 2014

Much to the dismay of the Vatican, an approx. 1500-2000 year old bible was found in Turkey, in the Ethnography Museum of Ankara.

Discovered and kept secret in the year 2000, the book contains the Gospel of Barnabas – a disciple of Christ – which shows that Jesus was not crucified, nor was he the son of God, but a Prophet.  The book also calls Apostle Paul “The Impostor”.  The book also claims that Jesus ascended to heaven alive, and that Judas Iscariot was crucified in his place.

A report by The National Turk says that the Bible was seized from a gang of smugglers in a Mediterranean-area operation. The report states the gang was charged with smuggling antiquities, illegal excavations, and the possession of explosives.  The books itself is valued as high as 40 Million Turkish Liras (approx. 28 mil. Dollars).  Man, where is the Thieves Guild, when you need them?

According to reports, experts and religious authorities in Tehram insist that the book is original.  The book itself is written with gold lettering, onto loosely-tied leather in Aramaic, the language of Jesus Christ.

The text maintains a vision similar to Islam, contradicting the New Testament’s teachings of Christianity.   Jesus also foresees the coming of the Prophet Muhammad, who would found Islam 700 years later.

It is believed that, during the Council of Nicea, the Catholic Church hand-picked the gospels that form the Bible as we know it today; omitting the Gospel of Barnabas (among many others) in favor of the four canonical gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.  Many biblical texts have begun to surface over time, including those of the Dead Sea and Gnostic Gospels; but this book especially, seems to worry the Vatican.

The Catholic Church wants in

What does this mean to Christian-derived religions and their followers?  Quite a tight spot.  The Vatican has asked Turkish authorities to let them examine the contents of the book within the Church.  Now that the book has been found, will they come to accept the it and its evidence?  Will they deny it altogether?  Call it a “Muslim lie”, as did the “Truth” Magazine, in 2000?

To many, this book is a beacon of hope, that believers soon realize that the object of their adoration is arbitrary; and that all text, especially religious text, is subject to interpretation.

What does this mean to atheists/agnostics/secular thinkers?  Is the text real?  Fake?  Does it matter?  Hopefully, this news inspires the religious to ask questions, instead of pointing fingers or believing anything blindly.

Please, don’t go poking fun or tossing around the “I told you so!”s.  The biggest danger of faith is when people believe what they want to believe, defending against any and all evidence; especially when that evidence revolutionizes their foundation from the ground up.  And the biggest culprit to that danger is the ego trap: rejecting/criticizing others, for being unlike you.

For centuries, the “defense” of blind faith has driven nations to war, violence, discrimination, slavery and to become the society of automatons that we are today; and for just as long, it has been justified with lies.  If you know better, act like it.

Just another lie and deceptions from that master of deception……Satan. Funny how it JUST happens to agree with Islam. That in and of itself is a MAJOR red flag to me.

    • za kam

And who are you to say that its a deception? Have you read the text? are you a priest? Are you an expert in this field? Dont you beleive in educating yourself about your own religion? Dont you believe Gospel of Barnabas needs to be looked at ? Are you so afraid to question your religios leaders and accept whatever they say is truth? Even though its possible (judging by current events) that they could manipulate the population for their own interests? If this gospel is true, Do you know that you just called the Bible a deception from satan?? Why would you say such? and take such a risk? Without any knowledge of whats exactly there?

And what about those other texts , those that have been omitted? Why where they be omitted and removed? The Vatican seems to be a milti billion USD business, to them they are just protecting their Interests. Would your opinion be any different if it happened to agree with another religion? Funny how the Quran (Islams holy book) has never changed, nor was there a need to bring in a “new testament” , and yet you call this a red flag? Learn to educate yourself, read, google is there to help. Trolling around hating on other religions , which is a pointless and time wasting trait is not healthy. It only makes you look like a fool.

Your not so smart yourself…. Evidence can be fabricated by the ones who want to destroy Christianity and turn people away from believing the bible by producing fake artifacts… Now you will say, why would I say it’s fake and what proof do I have… I can ask the same question to you, how do u know its NOT fake? You can’t prove to me it’s true… And telling me that the so called ‘Experts’ are saying its real doesn’t mean much… Your so called ‘Experts’ get it wrong all the time and always change their story.. Why? Cos they have no idea… It is written that there will be a great deception coming and if it were possible even the elite to be deceived… If this goes mainstream it will shake the foundations of Christianity if people are weak and not awake they will be deceived… Wake up to yourself…

        • Tony McC

“You can’t prove to me it’s true.”
Essentially you’ve just said that nothing will affect your views. This is the very definition of blind faith. Do you think God put you here to mindlessly believe everything you’re told? Information is meant to be examined and interpreted, even if it contradicts one’s set of beliefs.
Confirmation Bias causes people to reject any
infomation that doesn’t fit with their set of beliefs and ignore any
evidence which contradicts what they “know”. Faith is fine, blind faith is harmful.

          • Tyler Bryant

Exactly. This is the kind of ignorance that starts wars.

first and foremost this news came from not very reliable site, no links. 1 picture.

        • gman207

the only one that HAS NO IDEA is you. completely clueless. go back to brainwashing your kids. hurry!

        • Tyler Bryant

I believe in many things. That aliens are real. That our government is a giant fraudulent entity with Marionette puppeteers playing the whole thing. I even believe that ETs and our Government are in coercion together against the free will of the planet’s populace to some extent.

However, that does not make it ok for me to start justifying myself against any evidence that contradicts my understanding of the situation.

I know its not always great to hear something that can derail a belief, trust me I’ve been there, but life is a giant battle unless we are Reasonable with each other.

      • TPAINE

You don’t have to be a “priest” to see this as deception, because it is an attempt to pervert the truth. By the way, the Christian New Testament does not really mention priests in relation to those who serve God. It does however mention Pastors, Teachers, etc. Catholics created the priesthood….another man made perversion of the truth! Jesus said, “call no man father, for you have one father in heaven,” but priests love to be called “father.”

      • Anemona Popescu

Pointless. They have learned not to question, not to ask, not to doubt. The 3 golden rules. It’s too late for them. The huge issue here is that these people will manipulate their kids in the same manner and very few will be able to become individual thinkers. And that’s truly tragic and sad.

    • Adam El-Nagar

LOL i like that, thousands of religions over the millenia, but the one that disagree’s with yours is satanistic. Talk about satanism for a minute.. Christianity teaches that mankind is forgiven for killing the son of god. You are rewarded for murdering the seed of our lord and creator. that is 100% textbook definition of a satanistic cult. Islam says.. that the men of the bible, torah, quran, INCLUDING jesus, were nothing more than righteous men, men who were born, men who die.. You know, the logical conclusion.. and to you that’s satanistic? Well tbf it sounds like you don’t even know the difference.

    • gman207

THAT’s your response? and whats wrong with islam? just because YOUR god is the only truth? you are so blind… in fact, YOU sound like a red flag to me, go get an education. and no, I mean a real education…

lastly, is that what you would say in the court room too? SATAN? they would either all laugh at you or just put you in the loony bin, where you prolly belong. go back to brainwashing your poor kids or something, bill

  • JR Dowd

It is possible that this writer didn’t believe Jesus was Christ. Lots of religions don’t believe it. Judaism doesn’t believe Christ is the Son of God nor that he existed. However the Bible did say that in the final days of the world there will be a great deception, Christians will be killed and attacked by all those who wish to hurt them. However, at the second coming, everyone will bend a knee and say God save me… then he will say to those who rejected him… you did not know me in life, I do not know you now. From what I see going on, lots of stuff has come to light to deny Christianity yet NOTHING has come out to disprove any other religion. The ONLY religion people are trying to silence is Christianity. The Islam nation is looking to kill any non islam. This says a lot seeing how the prophecy is coming to light as true. BTW… Christ admitted he was a prophet in the Bible. He also said he was the Son of God. It’s up to those who want to believe or not… nobody should be chastised for their belief and those who attack Christians are just as bad.

    • Marquis Parker

Just as much as u say Islam is trying to kill all non Muslims is the exact thing Christianity did around 300ad…any non believer of Christianity was slaughtered in the worst way..Christianity was never spread by love or choice…it was always spread with fear just as it tries to make u believe in it with the fear of hell.
The bible also says those who think they will be first will be last
Also says that Satan deceived the whole entire world, and I dnt think that excludes christians bc it sure doesn’t say except for the followers of Jesus Christ

      • JR Dowd

NO religion is perfect, the wording speaks of a certain lifestyle and standard yet as sinful humans we can’t obtain what the Bible says. Some used war and terror to get the message across which if they were TRUE followers would see that is wrong and the Bible does not accept that. However, trashing a religion based on the actions of “so called followers that do the opposite of what the Bible says” is not right either a GREAT example is The Westboro Baptist Church. Americans are fleeing from Christianity and denouncing religion based on some wacked out individuals. To me, that’s just giving them a reason to disbelieve. When you say it makes you believe in the fear of hell, that is one opinion. I see Christianity as a chance for redemption through love and peace and treating everyone as my fellow man.regardless what they’ve done. I also know that in the Bible someone can be saved
by believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the ONLY way through to Heaven and it isn’t that hard to do. He will save sinners, he saved a criminal on the Cross. I truly believe that anyone that sins can be redeemed even on their death bed. God does NOT WANT to throw us into Hell, he left that up to us through free will, and yet we blame him for our choices. Heck, if we disobey the law we get thrown in jail, if we disobey our parents we are punished… what’s the difference? Why is it OK for humans to discipline but not God? WHY would he want someone in his kingdom who doesn’t believe in him and denounced him in life giving everyday a chance to repent? I know many Christians killed others who didn’t believe and I know that is WRONG however, nobody forced me to believe and I was given the opportunity to choose by my own parents without question. IF you choose to not believe that is up to you, but how can you be rewarded for your actions when you didn’t earn the reward in life… that is what the Bible says. Everyone can inherit the kingdom of Heaven if they try to walk in God’s path and believe in Jesus as their savior… that’s IT! However we choose to deny him based on the actions of sinful people who are deceiving us which I believe they are and putting actions giving an excuse to disbelieve plus people don’t want to live like God they want to do what they want. Revelations is coming true, almost all of it to me further solidifying the truth of Christianity.

        • Dea

I don’t believe in God or Jesus or anything but I think this also comes to the fact that people also need to think about things that are going on. People don’t think for themselves anymore. I’m not trying to bash any religion but I did go to a Catholic school and plenty of the people didn’t think for themselves. It was more the Church says it so it has to be right. I don’t think that is right at all. Then there are plenty of people who preach but are just hypocrites. I think people themselves should know to care about one another because that is called empathy. Then there is also the fact that people need to start accepting views of others, now more then ever. If you took the time to read this then thank you. Namaste 🙂

        • Anemona Popescu

Makes me sick…to see narrow minds. The TRUTH is that you guys…haven’t changed a single thing from the dark age till today. Yes, you’re not burning and boiling people anymore… but not because you’re a group of good and wonderful guys…. it’s just because we have human rights and in some countries, we take these rights seriously. The moment you will have the opportunity… you’ll do the same. NO doubt!

Now… what Christianity is promising is outrageous….if you think about it. There we go with their reason: therefore, if I am not a believer, I will never go to heaven… even if I lived a moderate life. BUT…. if you’re a murderer, a child rapist or you tortured humans or animals… all you have to do is to join these Christianity cult, confession, regret and not repeat the dead…. and there you go…you’re forgiven and you have your chance to heaven. Because…like J.R. Dowd here says… anyone has this chance.

How twisted a mind can be to find comfort in the idea that any degenerate can go to heaven?:)) How stupid should I be to find this moral, ethic or even fair?
However, the bad news is that more than 90% of religious people are stupid…so you can tell them any story. They have learned not to question, not to ask, not to doubt. They will also give large amount of money to the “spiritual leaders” … regardless of the idea that true spirituality and money have nothing in common.

The really bad news for you guys…is that we are not all stupid. And I think is the time for a new era… free of stupid superstitions and religious hate. They only did bad things…and they will do them in the future, if we let them. If we want to save ourselves, only science and technology will do it.

Let these people to return to the dark ages, where they belong… and let’s put our energy into a new philosophy for a tolerant world, a green energy world… and especially for a world without fear.

          • Cody Slavinski

Human beings are !00% proof that god is real! What other creature on earth has freewill? NONE!!! yes any one can enter the kingdom of god! Now with that being said you can’t just kill and rape etc..then say I repent or forgive me and go to heaven. You must truly be remorseful and with all your heart and soul believe that GOD IS LORD,KING OF KINGS CREATOR OF ALL MAN AND WOMAN KIND AND KNOW HE LOVES YOU AND ALL HE WANTS FROM YOU IS TO LOVE HIM BACK! ONE more thing. Yes there are horrible Evil people and things that happen to innocent kids for example. Now if there is evil out there true evil then that itself is proof of god! and when people go through or experience true evil or some one hears that story they believe that god is real right away or start to soon after.

          • sagbotgamot

1st, i don’t believe humans are a creature. they are a product millions of years of biogenesis, the most intelligent of them all so far according to humans themselves. being intelligent, it’s brain can do so many things… it can invent and re-invent things for his purpose and satisfaction…like cars, MP3, fruit salad, hubble telescope, higgs bossom, ICBMs, etc.. its mind can also produce various imaginations like vampires, virgin mary, vishnu, zeus, dwarves, angels, yeti, demons, transformers, jehovah, batman, allah, wolverine, and the most popular of them all…. jesus christ.

          • shameonyou

Animals have free will. It’s the humans that cage them

          • RobTay1963

LOL, I am not sure if you are an atheist pulling a funny one people or if you are a serious Christian. But evolution shows that as one species developed higher motor skills and survival skills it would kill off the nearest creatures below themselves. Lots of animals have high intelligence, Parrots choose their mates and mate for life, that sounds like free will. Chimps have been seen simple tools like a knotted tree branch as a hammer, or a stick as a digging tool to find bugs in hard to reach spots, and dolphins have a complex language, so much in fact that we can not decipher it. We have learned mating calls, and danger or food calls of many creatures though. How do you know they don’t have freewill to choose their mates, have sex, eat and play when they choose. It looks like we stupid humans don’t really have free will, if we want to eat and stay out of the cold we have to work and answer to our bosses and the government, not sure I would call that free will. LOL. But all joking aside If one really reads the bible with the understanding that without the Old Testament the Jesus story makes no sense, and then says after reading the OT that he is a loving god is indeed a psychopath. Start with Judges 11:29-40. Then reread the Flood story only picture the children and the babies, and the pregnant women ( god doesn’t believe in abortion). Then read the end of Exodus, and read Joshua, see all the atrocities God tells his People to commit. If you can reconcile with that god and say oh well but he got nicer and sent his son to die for us. ( do you really think human sacrifice is OK?) I mean no reasonable person should. And to say well that was the way it was done back then, so what this is god certainly the being that created everything should not just hold to the morals of the time, but should have morals far superior to even the people alive today, where the average human knows that burning witches, and torturing those who don’t believe as you do, or stoning Disobedient children, Homosexuals, or any other nonviolent person for a choice that really affects no one but them is wrong. Let alone torturing someone and nailing them to a tree, How sick and morbid is your god even in the (nicer ) new testament.

          • Dusty Brucite

How can human beings be 0% proof?

You need to come to the one true god and repent.
For he is, he was, he always will be a complex carbohydrate. Pray he watches over you, for he touches you and holds you to the earth

The history of Europe since the 18th century has been the story of successive attempts to find alternatives to God as an object of worship, among them the nation state, race and the Communist Manifesto. After this cost humanity two world wars, a Cold War and a hundred million lives, we have turned to more pacific forms of idolatry, among them the market, the liberal democratic state and the consumer society, all of which are ways of saying that there is no morality beyond personal choice so long as you do no harm to others.

        • No religion is perfect. Some used terror and war to get their message across…blah blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,

So you know the utter and completely depraved history of your psychotic religion of hate, genocide, death and destruction? So you give apologies for how your bloody religion was built, then become the utter and complete hypocrite that you are by condemning Muslims for doing what Christians have done?

No wonder why I, who once went to Seminary to become a minister of this religion, walked away in disgust…and became an Atheist. People like YOU, ignorant, self-righteous, heads up their butts loser hypocrites like YOU drove me away from this religion.

In the last 100 years, more people died at the hands of aetheists than the rest of history combined – Stalin, Mao, Hitler, plus a whole lot of other despots. Whatever happened to the intellectual depth of the serious atheists, the forcefulness of Hobbes, the passion of Spinoza, the wit of Voltaire, the world-shattering profundity of Nietzsche? Where is there the remotest sense that they have grappled with the real issues, which have nothing to do with science and the literal meaning of scripture and everything to do with the meaningfulness or otherwise of human life, the existence or non-existence of an objective moral order, the truth or falsity of the idea of human freedom, and the ability or inability of society to survive without the rituals, narratives and shared practices that create and sustain the social bond?

          • First off get it right. Hitler was in fact a Christian. Would YOU like me to post his own words, from his speeches and Mein Kampf writings to prove you wrong?

As for Stalin and Mao? It wasn’t their atheism…it was their anti-theism that set them against the churches and religions. They wanted to control the population and realized they could not share that control with the religions. So they got rid of the religions.

          • nursingaround

Instead of hating christianity (you may deny it, but you certainly sound like you do) try being an educated aetheist, and have a look at this rather interesting perspective – but if you only like to look at one side of an argument, then ignore this link

          • Anonymous Jerk

Please do post those hitler speeches and quotes, because your statement seems very naive, you are taking a politician at his word when speaking to the public, seriously? What’s wrong with you?

          • Brett Aylward

Sorry to say that calling yourself a Christian and actually being one is not the same thing. HITLER WAS MAD.

          • Despite how often Christian apologists try to argue that Adolf Hitler is
an example of the evil caused by atheism and secularism, the truth is
that Hitler often proclaimed his own Christianity, how much he valued
Christianity, how important Christianity was to his life, and even how
much he was personally inspired by Jesus – his “Lord and Savior.” There
is plenty of evidence that he was critical of Christian churches for
seeking independence from the state, but his vision of “Positive Christianity” was significant to him.

          • nursingaround

The book Hitler’s Secret Conversations 1941-1944 published by Farrar, Straus and Young, Inc.first edition, 1953, contains definitive proof of Hitler’s real views. The book was published in Britain under the title, _Hitler’s Table Talk 1941-1944, which title was used for the Oxford University Press paperback edition in the United States.

All of these are quotes from Adolf Hitler:

            Night of 11th-12th July, 1941:

National Socialism and religion cannot exist together…. The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity’s illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity…. Let it not be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things. (p 6 & 7)

            10th October, 1941, midday:

Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure. (p 43)

            14th October, 1941, midday:

The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death…. When understanding of the universe has become widespread… Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity…. Christianity has reached the peak of absurdity…. And that’s why someday its structure will collapse…. …the only way to get rid of Christianity is to allow it to die little by little…. Christianity the liar…. We’ll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State. (p 49-52)

          • Brett Aylward

Really …Such a misinformed person to even imagine Hitler believed in anything but himself… He was a complete psycho. GOD IS LOVE.

          • Misinformed? Yeah ok. God is love? Yeah your God loves to slaughter….why he loved humanity so much? He supposedly wiped them out with a great flood.

        • See this is just one of the things Christians used to convert others. It is called the Judas Chair. 1,000 to 1,500 spikes, that embed into the skin of the “convert” but closes around them so they do not bleed out. Then for added conversion power, when these chairs were made of steel? Christians would light a fire under the seat and laugh and scream in joy as their “convert” shredded their flesh trying to escape the Hot Seat.

          • jhmdeuce
          • Nope, it is not bullshit and wikiepedia does not count for research loser. See anyone can edit information on Wiki…and put in wrong information. I use actual church historical records for my research, including the Malleus Maleficarum.

Now go play in the corner….you Christian apologist for murderers and torturers.

          • jhmdeuce

          • No….even an idiot like YOU can go to Wiki and edit it lmfao.

          • Difference between a Judas Chair and a Judas Cradle idiot. HUGE difference. Compare and contrast loser. This is a Judas Cradle…does it look anything like the Judas Chair????

          • Yup….wiki…where even brain dead, outhouse dwelling, second grade homeschooled drop outs because they were being raped by their teachers….like you can edit Wiki.

          • jhmdeuce

          • Yeah your breath stinks.

        • Here is another “convert” tool used by Christians to convert the Pagans and others. It is called the Pope’s Pear. They also used this on homosexuals. They would fill it with a freaking hot coal, shove it up the “converts” butt and slowly open it, releasing the coal into their rectums. They also used it on females to convert them…but most of those converts died from their “conversion therapy of the Christians” due to it ripping and shredding their vaginas.

          • jhmdeuce
          • The only bullshit I smell around here is you. You can claim BS all you wish, especially seeing that ANYONE can edit a wikipedia link….I would rather use other sources for my information….instead of being an idiot like YOU to attempt to prove I am speaking BS by using wiki lol.

          • jhmdeuce

            Bullshit 2

          • No loser truth. Heck even I can go into Wiki and change or edit what every I want to.

          • Wikipedia is YOUR assertion that this is BS? Wiki that ANYONE with a computer and internet connection can go to that site and edit any entry on it?

Sorry loser, I used actual Roman Catholic and other church histories and their records in my research of this and once those were written? You cannot change them like you can on wiki lol.

          • jhmdeuce

            Bullshit 3.

        • Another “conversion” tool Christians used was called the Dunking. They would bind the victims arms and legs together and put heavy stones in their pockets and throw them into a body of freezing water.

If they drowned…that actually meant they were a Christian…but if they swam? That meant Satans minions were holding them up and they were taken out of the water and executed.

        • Here is another “conversion” tool used by Christians upon people who rejected their message of love. They would tie the victim upsidedown and slowly, VERY slowly saw through the body.

        • One last conversion tool of the hundreds Christians used to convert the Pagans and others. This is drawing and quartering. See Christians believed that if someone would not convert, then death was the only option to save their soul. They felt if they murdered the body, the soul would be saved.

This was done by the Roman Catholic Church not Christians if you want to qoute stuff do a little research on who what where and when good start read foxes book of marters

          • No it was done by all Christian denominations. Both Roman Catholic and Protestant. Why they certainly were not Roman Catholics in Salem Mass when they were putting to death the “witches” there now were they?

        • RobTay1963

The following was cut and pasted from your own comment, please come back when you have actually read the bible and can no longer make this statement. Some used war and terror to get the message across which if they were TRUE followers would see that is wrong and the Bible does not accept that.

        • Mitchell Short

The problem is. if religion is made by these perfect beings it should be perfect. Yet humans can find the flaws in it.

      • Jeff McIntyre

It was not “Christians’ that killed Muslims and non beliver,s in the inqustion it was men and followers of the Roman Catholic Church very big differance the RCC do not follow Christ teaching just claim they do

      • Brett Aylward

The sad thing is you blindly believe yourself and not what you see.I was a unbeliever until God called me.I don’t expect you to believe in God, for if he has called you, you would be a believer already. GOD CALLS THOSE HE WANTS. WE CANT CHOOSE TO BE CALLED. HAVE A LITTLE FAITH.

      • ZB

Show me proof that this book is so old. Available evidence states it is quite recent and is dated to the 16th century. The purpose for its creation and young age are self evident.

“Two manuscripts are known to have existed, both dated to the late 16th century ..
In some key respects, it conforms to the Islamic interpretation of Christian origins ..
This Gospel is considered by the majority of academics, including Christians and some Muslims (such as Abbas el-Akkad), to be late and pseudepigraphical”. [pseudepigraphicals essentially are a lie, as they purport falsely to be by an author] …”redacted to bring it more in line with Islamic doctrine. Some Muslims consider the surviving versions as transmitting a suppressed apostolic original. Some Islamic organizations cite it in support of the Islamic view of Jesus.”
“.. has strong parallels with the Islamic faith, not only mentioning Muhammad by name, but including the shahadah (chapter 39). ”

    • Anemona Popescu

I so much detest this horrible hypocrisy of Christians playing the victims. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Read your horrific Christian history: YOU killed tens of millions of people….and now you have no shame and come to tell us that YOU feel persecuted? I so much hope that my spirit will not end up in the same place with yours after dying. It would be way toooo much to endure:)))

      • The persecutors crying persecution…it would be funny actually…if it were not so dangerous to ignore.

      • Jeff McIntyre

This ws the Roman Catholic Church doing not Christians very big diffeance

      • nursingaround

more people died at the hands of aetheists in the last century, than the rest of christian history combined

    • Isaac Greene

I don’t know where you are getting your facts, but not EVERYONE is trying to disprove the Christian religion. It is one of the largest religions (mainly die to the fact anyone can say a prayer to be “forgiven” and not change/repent and still call them self a christian) therefore it is mainstream. So of course there will be a lot of people trying to disprove Christianity because the word christian somehow applies to a large percentage of people. Keep in mind that christian is a major religion, there are so many other smaller religions tryong to be disproven in the background where you cannot as well see it because the major religions are the IG focus.
Now I am not Muslim but saying that Islam is a religion looking to kill any non-islam is pretty ignorant and quite offensive because the terrorists who kill in the name of Allah are simply the extremists and I greatly apologize on the behalf of our nation and our media for feeding you so much crap into you believing that only Islam has extremist groups. I’m sorry to burst your bubble but do you not remember learning in school about the Spanish Inquisition where millions upon millions of people were being tortured and slaughtered by these so called “Christians” simply because they were “non-christian” or did you hear recently in the united states a person in a police report and in interrogation admitted to killing another woman simply because she was Muslim and not christian!
My point is that there are extremists in every religious group so solely pointing out Islam AMD pointing fingers without looking at the extremists in your religion makes your ENTIRE “point” completely invalid

P.s. try to keep an open mind about things before you throw around unproven statements blindly…it could potentially result in you looking like a moron such as right now lol

    • Dignitas ZeNeo

The reason it’s attacked is because it’s the 2nd most Dogmatic and authoritarian by Nature, the old testament God is just mixed in and they claim the God of the New Testament is one and the same when they are clearly not.

The older religions are more about spiritual concepts and understandings rather than personifying god.

In the old testament it talks about the Tree of Life which is actually all living things including humans which were not the same as Adam and Eve. I believe the Garden of Eve was Atlantis and Adam an Eve were the Nehalem. You have God’s chosen people who decended from Noah an the people who decended from the Mark of Cain (Look it up) Solomon, Babal, Jacob and King David bared this mark and The Royal Families and Aristocracies claim relation to these people.

Please look up the meaning of Israel, there is a reason that is the most contested place in all history.

    • Let’s see, ever hear of reaping what you have sown?

Christianity has persecuted MILLIONS of people. Committed GENOCIDE against Pagans and others. Justified slavery of blacks and others, basing it on their bible. Claimed the Native Americans were the savages, while murdering them with their bible based BS.

Now we got all kinds of Christian Pastors of Hate, who spew incredibly evil BS from their mouths, like how we should build Nazi Style concentration camps to put gays, lesbians and their supporters in them. Or like Martin Ssempa, Matt Barber and Scott Lively who went to Uganda and designed that Kill the Gays bill where for an xmas present they were going to allow Ugandan Christians to machette hack to death anyone they deemed gay, lesbian or their supporters. Or pastors like Steven Anderson and Ron Baity who want to go back to the days where they can lynch someone from the old white oak tree…as they wish to do to again, gays, lesbians and anyone who supports them.

Next we got the literal, tens of thousands of priests, pastors and ministers of this religion busted for raping children and their leaders covering it up.

You got pastors like Joel Olsteen who lives in million dollar mansions, drives fancy cars and flies a private jet….while children are starving to death and this is all quite the opposite of what your Lord and Savior commanded isn’t it? For he told the rich man to sell all that he has and give it to the poor…but it seems a lot of these modern day megachurch preachers…seemed to have forgotten that message, as well as the RCC which has trillions…while starving children are outside the Vatican begging for food.

and yet….you speak out against all this evil done by those who proclaim they are Christian, especially against the bigots of your religion…and it is us whom are persecuting you. Talk about hypocrisy.

Read Matthew 23…read it well…for that seals the doom of this religion.

      • Jeff McIntyre

Not Christians just people using that as a excuse for their own agendas. That is like blaming all muslims for the actions of the ISIS or all black people for crime or whites for slavery

        • The Christian religion is responsible for about 3 BILLION deaths. From the Crusades, to the invasion and genocide of the Pagans, to the Inquisitions and the resulting Black Death because idiot psychotic christians slaughtered cats on an edict that they were tools of satan…and hence…no cats to kill the rats that brought the fleas, that bit the humans, that brought on the Black Death, or their insane religious wars, like their 100 year war, which started because two Protestant Bishops threw two Catholic bishops out a window…and that lovely war resulted in such death and devestation that it took three generations to come back from.

Then you have the Manifest Destiny which stated the Christian god allowed you to commit genocide against Native Americans as well as an excuse to use the bible and slavery to justify the slavery of blacks.

Next we have now…all those pastors, priests and ministers who rape children and get away with their crimes because they call them sins and not crimes. You got the RCC and various denominational leaders covering this all up and they also dare make a Saint out of a known Pedophile Pimp like Pope John Paul II.

You also have dozens and dozens of disgusting Pastors of Hate, who advocate lynching, nazi death camps and machette hacking to death, gays, lesbians, any of their supporters, atheists, agnonstics, pagans and all others.

No I say Christians deserve to get back what they have sown.

Oh and ISIS and the Muslim extremists? They all can be directly tracked back to all the harm that has been done to Muslims at the hands of self righteous Christians and Jews.

          • Jeff McIntyre

Again Men not Christians anyone can claim hey i am this or that dose not make it so. how many people were killed by Atheist in the last century million,s at the hands of communist around the world. The Nazi created there own religions based on Norse mythology. all religions are cooked up by the same demonic sprit that dose not want you to know the true message of salvation from the wrath of God that is to come. Jesus Christ was the final sacrifice accepting Him as your Savior for your sins is the differance between death and hell and life and Heaven. Christians are called forth to spread that message to those that are lost.Do not confuse the two men will always seek to kill and harm other men they can call them selves whatever they want to dose not make it so .

      • Brett Aylward

CHRISTIAN FOLLOWERS FOLLOW CHRIST.True believers never did any of these things you mention.Read the Bible to find out what CHRIST said.LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOURS AND LOVE GOD.many things have been done in God’s name.it doesn’t mean that God condones these atrocities. Try to love others a little more. Try to forgive those you hate.

        • Bite me Brett Aylward. I HATE you freaking Christian apologists. Oh if a Muslim terrorist goes nuts, then it is all Muslims and their religion to blame. But as typical with you Christian apologists, if a Christian does something evil, why then…..they are not Christians and your religion is not to be blamed.

Again, YOUR RELIGION has in fact, risen to the top of the religions heap, by slaughtering it’s opponents. The Roman Catholic Church, and all demoninations participated in the genocide of Native Americans. They justified slavery by using their buybulls.

Love others a little more? All those Christian pastors of HATE should take YOUR words them. Yeah all those pastors, like Charles Worley, Scott Lively, Matt Barber, Ron Baity, Steven Anderson, Donnie Romero and far too many others, who spew disgusting, murderous hatred from their pulpits. Who work to design and impliment laws so they can slaughter others. Yeah…..I got no problem with loving you freak…it is your fellow Christians who do.

Though good comeback with YOUR projection there Brett. Just shows you are a good neo maxi zoom dweebie apologist for your stupid religious CULT.

          exactly what my point is,
true believers are moderate, they are not orthodox..

    • Christopher Hall

Christians have been killing and silencing other religions since they came out of the Middle East! The conceit and arrogance to claim that you are the persecuted minority. Christianity has been used as the excuse for hatred and bigotry – look at the interpretation of Ham in Genesis – although, to be fair, MOST religions do this. You are as bad as the Muslims; as a religion, maybe you’re not going out and killing any more, but you’re creating hate and fear and pain. Kids kill themselves because of the messages you send. That, to me, is murder. And if you’re not outright killing people, you’re trying to make EVERYONE, regardless of their own personal beliefs, live by your religious rules. Again, just like the extremist Muslims.

Christians have been claiming the “end of says” since around 1000 BCE! It’s the knowledge of your own mortality that you’re projecting onto the world.

The Bible was written by the winners of religious wars, no WONDER they claim that anyone who doesn’t believe is evil. It was heavily edited, horribly mistranslated many time (for instance, the line “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live” was originally about poisoners. )

      • Brett Aylward

True believers only love others and serve God.there is no hate or malice towards others if you are a true believer .MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE.stop attacking people and thier chosen believe ,if you want to direct your anger do it to an institution such as your government or the Churches that preach hypocrisy.

The Apostle Paul an “impostor”? I think this book is the impostor! Paul was a Pharisee, a hater of Christ and his followers; however, he converted after an encounter with the resurected savior. Knowing what Paul endured to spread the word of Christ to the Gentile world, I choose to believe he was legit. Any book that claims that Judas was crucified in the place of Christ is a lie, and seeing how this book specifically claims “Christ is not the son of God, but he is a prophet,” it sounds definitively Muslim. Not to mention it is written or covered with gold letters….Muslims like to cover things in gold, eg the dome of the rock.

Jesus Christ, declared to be the the Son of God by the resurection from the dead shall judge it in the end, all Muslims will bow before him and declare he is LORD!

    • Tony McC

How do you know what Paul endured to spread the word of God? From
another Bible. This is a Bible as well, it just contradicts what you

As far as claiming that Muslims like to cover things in
gold goes, throughout its history the Christian Church has been quite
fond of gold itself. If the carbon dating on the book does show that
it’s 1500 years old then it couldn’t be some Muslim conspiracy as it
      would predate Islam.

I was raised a Christian but I’m willing to
keep an open mind. Confirmation Bias causes people to reject any
infomation that doesn’t fit with their set of beliefs and ignore any
evidence which contradicts what they “know”. Faith is fine, blind faith
      is harmful.

    • gman207

I bet you’d get off right then and there, seeing those dogs bow to you and your god. you are a worthless scam artist, claiming to be something which you are not. you are sick in the head, yet act like you are divine. go to church, where you can get together with people just like you and ACT like you are so holy. christians are 75% hypocrites!

      • TPAINE

And who died and made you judge of the world….Allah? He’s dead, and so is his fake prophet Mohammad…he will be judged by Christ, the true GOD!

        • egyptian_man

Hey man .. behave please..if you are a follower to jesus so be a good reputation to jesus..for us muslems jesus is a holly prophet the same as our prophet mohammad and moses and noah and ibraham and jacob and all holly prophets ..
Allah is the one god who created everything and who created us and created the prophets and the angels .. he is the one nothing is like him he is not born neither gave birth and no one ever equals him..he is the first and the last nothing before him and nothing after him..he doesn’t sleep nor die he is the one good .. you call him in christianity the father in heaven and we call him allah our god..i will act according to the instructions of my religion islam and our holly book quran which is the direct words of allah sent to prophet mohammed by angel gabriel and i will behave with you..you are free in your belief and so i am..i end here by the islam saluation..peace upon you..

    • Mrsami

      jesus is a prophet .

What is interesting is that Jesus himself is in the exact similar position, he was sent, and he was sent to a specific group of people hence we see the exact similarity between Jesus and other prophets. Not only that, but the Jews stoned the other prophets, the Jews also tried to stone Jesus. Hence from this we already have enough proof that Jesus is a prophet, and just like all other prophets Jesus is sent, and sent to a specific group of people. However let us quote more verses of Jesus being sent to make a strong foundation for the rest:

Luk 10:16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

Jhn 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life

Jhn 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Jhn 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Jhn 7:28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sentme is true, whom ye know not.

So it is crystal clear that Jesus was sent by God, he did not send himself. So just like all other prophets Jesus is sent by God, and he is sent to a specific group of people.

So this show that Jesus is indeed a prophet, for prophets are sent by God to do a job just like Jesus said.If Jesus indeed was God he would have sent himself, But he said it clear that god have sent him.

      • Guest

Jesus is the LORD and Creator of everything, and soon you’ll kneel before him!!!

        • shameonyou

just take a look at the grand canyon, pretty sure its more than 6000 years old…

      • TPAINE

GOD was in Christ, therefore, he could say, “He that despiseth me despiseth HE that sent me” because they are ONE and the same. Mohammad is not GOD in the flesh, JESUS IS! JESUS IS THE TRUE GOD, NOT MUHAMMAD’S FALSE GOD, ALLAH!

    • sagbotgamot

You based your judgement from a book which is told over and over again by priests, evangelists, etc. but you don’t really have scientific evidence jesus christ was declared by the son of god. it is really a book vs book thing.

  • Zack Watson

Shut the fuck up all of an face it every thing we learned growing is a lie an just show ive been right religion is full of liars and hypocrites

  • Bob Webster

Calm down folks. Assuming that it is genuine, and at this point we have no reason not to, it is just one more piece of writing which will fill in a few more details of the patterns of faith development at the time. When the Dead Sea Scrolls were found there was the same kind of dispute about this being the destruction of the church. Well all it did was open fascinating aspects of the complexity of Israel’s faith expressions at the time.

We need to remember that there were some 30 odd gospels when the council of Nicea was held in the 320’s. The problem was there were many writings which did not measure up to the beliefs of the church at the time. There were lots of issues that they debated and came to statements about what was orthodox teaching. Those who disagreed went off on their own or were excommunicated by those in the majority. Too bad they couldn’t have found a way to have a wider and more inclusive standard, but they didn’t.

There is no simple reality. We have to use our good sense about what we choose to believe. More information just fills in blanks and helps make the picture clearer. There were disagreements in the very first followers, primarily about the process for Gentiles to become Christians. Did they need to be circumcised or not? You can read all about it in Paul’s letters, which are the earliest writings we have.

For me this new writing will not change my faith in a crucified and risen Lord. It may fill in some of the details about other streams of belief among other Jesus followers. That doesn’t mean I denigrate others beliefs, it just means I’ve come to certain conclusions which match my experience and I’m happy with that.

Our conversations need to be respectful and loving or we are not embodying the spirit of Christ at all.

    • Steve Law

      Well said Bob.

    • Sara Hope

So so happy to see someone pointing the positive sides. Questioning beliefs never shook anyones faith. It´s always an ocasion to discover something beautifull about your religion. I would love to see these conversations filled with people who focus on what we have in commun in stead of throuwing mean things at each others faces.
FYI : islam saying that jesus was not crusified never meant to make him any less important. Islam says that god would never have allowed anyone to kill him so he rised him to the skies to protect him with the promis that he is coming back to us when the jugement day arrives. So whether you agree with that or not lets focus on the fact that we all love him so much. Son of god or prophet he came to teach us to love and live with each other, would be wonderful if we all followed Jesus on that.

    • Anemona Popescu

I do agree about what you say about how conversations should be. I would also love to see Christians doing this…instead of going out on the streets and spreading their message of PURE hate about gay people …for instance.
Or finding them in front of a cinema, trying to stop me to see a movie that their beloved church disagree with.
Also… respectful and loving would be for your leaders NOT to rape little boys and then try to hide the facts…and not face justice. And the list can continue for 3 days….unfortunately.

You Christian people… with your history and your present… you should be ashamed. Instead of shame… you want to appear like you’re the beholders of the one truth and one high moral and ethical standard. If it wouldn’t be so pathetic, it would be hilarious.

      • Enya

Not all Christians are like this. Just few of those idiots who has “holier than thou” mentality and they are portrayed most in the news because it’s going to most likely grab people’s attention. I have met a number of decent Christians here who are genuinely nice. I can say that to all religions (and non-religion) to be honest. Even Buddhism had it’s criticism in Asia when monks did questionable things in the past and even now in Sri Lanka, Buddhists are killing Muslims because of their faith but media doesn’t say much about that. However I have Buddhist friends here who are friendly with good moral values. This news happening in Sri Lanka saddened them because they know that it’s wrong. So I believe that few people who do wrong, in whichever religion, shouldn’t represent the whole of their religious community.

So what’s important is that people shouldn’t be ashamed of their religion because people in the past has done terrible things, instead they should try living out the best of what they teach and not hate others.

      • snich

What’s extra disgusting are people who judge others and label all when they’ve only heard of, or seen a few in action. God is love, His son is love, man tarnished that. Greedy, selfish man. All religious have acted horrifically in one form or another in order to force their beliefs onto others. You can’t blame the religion for its followers actions, there are fakes, posers, Satan attempting to act as Christian but do evil to push people away from christ. Judging all for the actions of few isn’t right, just like we don’t judge you for your non-belief, or judge all of one race for a few bad apples. Christianity isn’t the issue, it’s the fakes doing evil under the illusion of Christianity, that’s the issue. Evil, power-hungry men cause chaos but pose it as religious battle to sell it to dumb, lost followers, which is happening right now in islam/Muslim. People with harsh words for Christianity are basing it on its followers from centuries ago and to relate it to recent times, it’s like black people blaming today’s white folk for slavery– it’s not our fault. It isn’t 2014 Christians who committed old atrocities, let it go already! However it is 2014 Muslims committing Christian genocide in the middle east, inciting violence in other countries, terrorizing people and posting violence for all to see, yet the same harsh critics of Christianity make excuses for them and seem to offer them a hall pass. It’s mind boggling.

  • Sreenath

I don’t find any relevance to this ‘discovery’ at this stage, rather than creating confusion, confrontation, pain, and sadistic jubilation among the followers and non-followers of one among the world’s major faith. If I am not wrong, there were differences among the very first generation disciples of any religion, and it always caused multiple paths, sects or schools of thoughts. Most of them if not all of them have survived and kept drawing followers in varying numbers and kept preaching for centuries, which they trusted and believed. Thus neither this discovery holds any importance nor the book itself holds any special relevance than offering yet another different belief. There is no doubt however that it is a precious book, but one should really not try to score over the faith and belief of of the followers with the help of this book.

  • Jackie Ashby

Any mention of the dinosaurs yet?

  • John Oliva

Who’s to say it’s true at all? After all they’re just books with no real proof, i’m an atheist so arguing with me about whether it’s real or not is useless, just saying, they’re just books with words, no need to get angry

    • gman207

clearly you are an atheist who has never left your home. religious nuts start wars over this completely man-made nonsense. and you are saying “no need to get angry?” go turn on the news, idiot…

  • Michael Blackcrest

Well this is about as believable as the qu’ran. I feel bad for those who don’t understand the message of the books they follow, and only focus on the words.

    • gman207

so what is the message of these books? believe or go to hell? convert them or kill them? sounds like a wonderful, positive book or even better, a really great way to live your life. bunch of fake scam artists, go start a war or something.

      • Michael Blackcrest

The message of the God of Abrham books, be it bible, torah, or qu’ran is treat your fellow man with respect and peace. and the true god can be found with in and around you. For as long as history of man, man has killed and started wars over the wording of these books. overlooking how they been edited and changed over the years.

    Mark 13:5
Jesus said to them: “Watch out that no one deceives you.”

    • Rob Lodespoto

Actually, Jesus didn’t say that… The person who wrote that had a friend, who had a friend, that heard Mark say that. The fact that Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John were all supposedly there listening to the same words spoken, yet have different accounts of what was said and done, that there are “versions” of the bible, AND that it’s well known that any accounts that didn’t put a super human divine spin on Jesus was kept from inclusion, should raise red flags with people who have common sense.

It’s funny, people will eventually disregard the first hand information if and when it’s discovered, because they’ve been brought up to believe these third and fourth hand accounts, and everything else will be a lie.

      • Cypherus21 .

Your post is an example of someone who pretends to know Biblical authority and with that lacking knowledge, makes an erroneous statement. One, John and Matthew were the two apostles who was with Jesus in his life and knew him well. Mark and Luke did not, and it is said Luke and Mark and Matthew’s gospels are uniquely different from John as what connects them is generally the Q Document which explains why their versions are similar but somewhat different from John’s. As well, there is no different account as to what was said and done – did you even read the Gospel’s? They are uniform in the telling of Christ, his teachings, death, and resurrection. It’s actually funny that you decree common sense yet passover your very own ignorance.

propaganda and btw im an atheist, i have read every religious book that there is out there and funny how most of the religious people don’t know there own religion. but before you all go nuclear on me let me ask you something why do you have to speak for your god? why do you have to defend him? god tells you to get angry and curse? or in order to prove he is real kill people or god says if they disagree with your belief they are satanic? just see how crazy you sound? whats the difference from your god and the gods of ancients times? you are so brainwashed that you won’t even think about ever questioning anything, so scared, and yet all you do is doing what your religion tells you what not to do. well for the most part. for Christians you lie, cheat, steal, talk behind ppls back, have sex with different girls/guys before marriage, judge others, curse and say hurtful things then you get upset if someone say jesus is not real. and for muslims: you look at girls wrong when you are not supposed too, you lie, you commit sins, hurt people and steal, etc. so when someone like me who still respects others believe as long as they keep it in their pants comes and say im athiest is because i don’t fake it, im me.

Somebody please explain to me why a book [1] found in Turkey, [2] supposedly written before the Arab expansions of the 600s and [3] supposedly written by an Aramaic/Koine Greek speaker is written using Arabic script. There are plenty of ancient texts – mostly from Gnostic religions as found at Nag Hammadi, Egypt – which present alternative views on Jesus. But for the reasons stated above, even for secular historical purposes, this should only be considered a forgery created long after its supposed date of composition unless the above points are explained.

Jesus Christ is the savior. If you don’t believe just look around you and then read revelations.

This is the gospel of Barnabas which is nothing new, just a very old instance of it. It has some very anachronistic statements that would make any reader a bit leery of its veracity regarding anything happening before 300 CE. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gospel_of_Barnabas#Anachronisms

    from http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/b/Gospel-of-Barnabas.htm#.U4wCzfmwK84:
According to a March 4, 2012, article by Vatican Insider, a branch of the daily newspaper La Stampa, the ”discovery is probably a hoax, the work of a forger who, according to some, could have been a European Jewish scholar from the Middle Ages.” The article said that the “most factual criticisms have come from the Syriacs,” and that those who speak modern Assyrian would not have any difficulty reading this manuscript. Language experts detected “obvious and quite significant” errors in grammar and concept that could rule out authenticity for such an ancient religious document.

  • Cypherus21 .

The Muslim scholar Cyril Glassé states:

As regards the “Gospel of Barnabas” itself, there is no question that it is a medieval forgery. A complete Italian manuscript exists which appears to be a translation from a Spanish original (which exists in part), written to curry favor with Muslims of the time.
It contains anachronisms which can date only from the Middle Ages and not before, and shows a garbled comprehension of Islamic doctrines, calling the Prophet “the Messiah”, which Islam does not claim for him. Besides its farcical notion of sacred history, stylistically it is a mediocre parody of the Gospels, as the writings of Baha’Allah are of the Koran.

Yes, the Turks are the best source of opinion in this matter. Must be very accurate.

A man commits a crime and goes to court. The judge says to the court that every man will be held accountable for his actions and that the purpose of this trial. During the trial he is found guilty, the punishment of the court is death. However, the guilty man is set free and the judge is sentenced to death. …How do you feel about that? What’s your heart say? If you asked a child that question what would they say? – That’s unfair, right? Why if people are responsible for their own actions and souls is the burdon placed on another? Why if one man is found guilty by a judge – is the judge sentenced to death, or the bailiff, or the juror, or the stenographer or someone in the audience or someone, anyone in the world. No one takes the place of another. And surely, he who is without sin should not be punished for the actions of another.

There are a lot of comments below for one religion or against another. It is important to remember, that in Islam it is forbidden to make fun of other religions and that out of all the religious of the world Christianity is closer to Islam than any other religion. So please, anyone saying that this is the work or Satan or something incredibly outlandish like needs to take a step back and know of what they speak before they speak.

In Islam we believe that Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) was a messenger of God. We, as Muslims love and believe in Jesus and hold him in the highest possible regard. We believe that the crucifixion happened in a miraculous way – that Judas, the traitor, was made to appear like Jesus – he was made to look like Jesus and he was the one crucified. So yes, it did happen, but Jesus himself ascended to heaven where he has been ever since, beside the Throne of the Lord. We believe this because God would never punish someone who doesn’t deserve it, and the idea of one man dying for another’s sins is a sacrifice in the same way that pagans have sacrificed virgins, children, women, men, whomever to please their Gods. It is not only illogical but unnecessary. Muslims believe that you don’t have to go through all that trouble to be forgiven and “saved” by the Lord, – you do something wrong, you repent – that’s it. If you are sincere God will forgive you – you do not need to kill or have killed a man to please Him.

Islam also teaches that all messagers of God have come down and preached the same religion: worship your maker – who is your maker? – the one true God, God. And that is it. Every Prophet has said the same thing, but, it is humans over time that has changed religion. We’ve seen that in Christianity more than any other religion. Kings have changed Christianity. Popes have changed Christianity. Reformers have come and gone, and changed the religion in one direction or another, for better or for worse. So why then – would it not make sense to find a scroll or a book dating back 1700 years that says something different than what is preached today? It would. If Christianity has changed – it stands to reason that what it was changed from was different and probably simpler.

Simple in the sense that – God begets none nor is he begotten. Simple in the sense that every man is accountable for his actions. Simple in the sense that those who do good, get rewarded, those who do bad get punished – and at the time of Jesus Christ, there was NO ONE in the entire world who was better than him. Therefore: Jesus was not to be punished. The punishment was meant for a traitor who was selling out Jesus – ie – Judas. Jesus, didn’t even die, to us – he was risen up to Heaven, where he has been since that time until his 2nd coming. Doesn’t that make more sense? Isn’t that simpler and less convoluted and more likely to be true? The best person in the world – is not harmed, but rather – gets to spend 2000 plus years in heaven before his 2nd coming. That makes sense to me and that is why I am a Muslim – I am a submitter to the will of Allah – the worshiped one.

Don’t be mistaken – Islam, especially in America has terrible PR. If the average American walking down the street was asked to name any Muslims they could think of their list would probably include terrorists. Those people are not Muslims, no one submits to the will of God and then usurps his power by taking a life. That is a grave and crazy sin. That is using the word “Muslim” as a mockery. I say this because someone below commented that the mere idea of this document being in line with Islam is enough to make him turn away from it. Why? – Because all he or she knows of Islam is that there were people who have done harm while claiming or believing to be within the fold of this religion, when really, they were not.

Islam is simple. It’s pure monotheism. There is one god and that god is God. Allah simply means “the worshiped one.” And who does one worship? God. That’s it. “Allah” wasn’t even coined by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) – it was coined by Abraham (peace and blessings be upon him.) because – at that time, (a time that predates all 3 Abrahamic relgions: Judiasm, Christianity, and Islam) Abraham was asked – who do you worship? Who do you believe in? What do you believe in? He replied that he submits himself to the worshiped one. That is important to note because a common thing I see from a non-muslim is thinking that “Allah” is some madeup name like “Ra” or something.

Whether or not this document is true or not is unknown to me – it could be a forgery – but what is true to me is it’s content. When it speaks, it speaks the truth. What will happen to it – will the church change? Unfortunately it probably won’t – even though this attention grabbing headline says otherwise.

Thank you so much for reading, please be kind to any and all religions but never forget that humans have a natural inclination to know, worship and love their maker, ie, God and that while the vast vast vast majority of people have only the best intentions – it is important that our faith doesn’t blind us from common sense when it comes to the simplest, most fundamental things about religion: There is only 1 God, and he is fair. It is unfair for people to commits sins and crimes and go unpunished because 1 man died for them – it is fair that everyone is held accountable for their actions and that the most pious man on the planet 2000 years ago wasn’t torched, but rather, was given the gift spending time with God in heaven before his 2nd coming.

And – as for Jesus being the son of God, anyone can see where this idea comes from. He had a mother and no father, therefore God was his father. I understand why people can believe this but if you think that’s cool lemme just blow your mind. Adam and Eve had no father either… AND no mother. So that’s double the miracle right there. In fact, because there were 2 of them that’s… quadruple the miracle. God simply says “Be” and it is. If you really believe in God, believe that He created the heavens and the earth why would you think he would suddenly be bound by earthly rules of a father and a mother. He created Adam and Eve from clay. Not even 1 single person. Clay. If God, in his infinite wisdom wants to have a virgin birth – it’s happening, end of story. You simply do not need to bring God down to our level by saying there has to be a mother and a father. Nope. God says, “Be” and it is.

The oposite news would be “celebrated” as much as this one! Imagine: “Found 4 books that say Jesus is the Son of God instead of just a prophet!!!”.

I really don´t care about what this books says since I really feel Jesus and all the peace He brings to my life every day.

The problem is that people wants tolerance but are intolerant with other´s faith.

That´s only a book against all 66 books of the Bible that say Jesus is the Son of God.

What should I choose? 66 or 1? God or the unknown Barnabas?

Jesus is an personal experience, not a book or a church!!! Just forget about this…

Will it affect atheist/Agnostic/Freethinkers? definitely NO. Even if a book will come from 100 BC, atheists knows that primitve and early humans always believe in deities and write their “encounters” with these gods. humans have identified more than 2,000 gods throughout recorded history. their popularity have come and gone through ages.

Always enjoy people’s response to something new when they are so wrapped up in their own thinking. Love the thing that all religions teach about non violence and anti killing and then they proclaim their belief teaches them this.
And also those who claim to not have a belief. What put you and everything here and Isn’t that something to think about. I am not saying it was a being or such but something started this show.

I find this discussion interesting. So many people who are offended or freaking out, accusing others of trying to disprove Christianity.

I have a question for you. Are you looking for confirmation of your beliefs or are you seeking the truth? What if your God came and told you everything you’ve been told or learned about him has been misinterpreted and is false. Would you declare him to be an imposter because he doesn’t fit into your beliefs?

One would hope the truth should be what matters, no?

  • Ahhh the Unholy Roman Catholic Church of Patron Saints of Pedophiles, Pedophile Pimps, Pedophile Priests, Psycho Abusive Nuns and all the Parishioners who bow down and worship them in unholy love.

Well Pope Frankie, when are YOU going to keep the promises you made to the victims of priest rape and soul torture? What about all the victims of your churches disgusting institutions of death, slavery, rape and murder?

Like the Magdalene and Good Shepherd Laundries, where young girls were treated as abject slaves, dying from the harsh chemicals the nuns made them use in these slave launderies?

How about the Industrial Schools like the one at Artane, where brothers there gang beat and gang raped the boys sent there? Here is just one of the victims stories of being there:

    MALACHY 1965-69

Sent to Atane with his brother for mitching school

THE day Artane burned down I thanked God. I prayed that all the
Brothers who hurt me had died but most of those b*****ds are still

I suffered all sorts of abuse. Most of it I still cannot talk about. They raped me, they beat me, they humiliated me.

Sometimes when you turned up they would be abusing some other boy and you would have to watch or join in.

We were made to crawl on our hands and knees while the other boys
were forced to hit you. If they didn’t hit you, they had to get down and
start crawling too. Artane was a concentration camp. Anything we arrived with was taken away from us – clothes, shoes, love, good memories, happiness and trust.

Next up we have the Women’s and Children’s homes. “Fallen women” pregnant out of wedlock sent to these homes of horror. The mortality rate there was as high as 80%. One investigator of these homes described children literally starving to death, their flesh hanging off their bodies. Babies that did die, because the nuns refused to treat the rampant diseases killing the babies, typically buried them in unmarked mass graves. One at Taum was found by two boys out looking for worms for fishing and broke open a septic tank at the Taum home and discovered around 800 skeletal remains of babies in it.

Last but not least, we have the Native American Children’s Homes, where Native American children were used as lab rats in medical experiments, raped and beaten on a daily basis. Many murdered because they were thought so little of as savages.

This still doesn’t prove that Christ was not the manifestation of God. It doesn’t take away from His power and majesty and teachings that changed the course of history and brought about an entire civilisation. And just because some of its believers were corrupt, doesn’t take away from its truth. The Spanish inquisition and colonialists are not representative of His teachings.
